    Biography
     

    Farshid Zamanian, Doctor of Pharmacy, was born in Shiraz, Iran. He has lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico since 1984. Before he came to Albuquerque, he spent two years in Madrid, Spain, where he learned to speak Spanish fluently. In 1984, Farshid moved from Spain to Albuquerque, where he began working on his Bachelor’s degree in Spanish at the University of New Mexico. He graduated in 1988 with distinction and continued his academic pursuits in the Spanish department at the graduate level. Farshid made the Dean’s honor list several times, while working on his Master’s degree and, in 1990, completed his graduate degree in Spanish. While working on his graduate degree, Farshid taught a variety of Spanish courses, including beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels.
     
    In addition to receiving two degrees in Spanish, Farshid graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Pharmacy in 1996.

    In 2000, he received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Arkansas in Little Rock and graduated with distinction. In 2001 he became one of the very few pharmacist clinicians to be licensed in the state of New Mexico.
     
    Farshid is the owner of and chief pharmacist at Menaul Compounding Pharmacy. Farshid’s compounded medications involve primarily, but are not limited to, bioidentical hormones, topical pain medications, as well as veterinary medications. Farshid is an assistant clinical professor for the University of New Mexico College of Pharmacy and trains PharmD candidates in the art of compounding.
